Netritva Sadhana 6 - Srinagar J&K

Away from the scorching heat of northern plains. It was quite a bliss to be in, as khusrau, said

"Agar firdaus bar ru-ye zamin ast,
Hamin ast o hamin ast o hamin ast "

Yes to be in Kashmir in middle of may is god's gift.

 

Being in corporate setup for almost a decade and half, attending any training has always come with cynical thoughts "agar boring huee to kya hoga".

 

But, this time cynicism gave way to enlightenment.

 

Attending the "Netritva Sadhana 6 workshop, a 5 days, residential certificate course in Socio-Political leadership" is among the best decision taken by me.

 

The program was intensive, informative and innovative.

 

Talks were given by experts in their own fields. Course contours covered full spectrum of subjects required out of modern leader's.

 

From leadership lessons in history to constitution of India, internal an external threats faced by India, to electoral systems and reforms, social inequality gender discrimination, election management, perception management to working of NGO's.

 

Each topic was carefully chosen and expertly delivered.

 

No boring or sleepiness even in post lunch sessions.

 

Simply amazing experience.

 

It changed me, literally it changed me, I rediscovered myself.

 

An idea was always lingering with me to do something for nation, but what and how always overshadowed the real intent.

In these five days, something magical happened.

 

I personally found the way.

In coming days I am determined to take some baby steps towards my dream and as my Kashmiri friends say Insha'Allah it will and should come true.

 

I also met some amazing individuals who are now my friends. My friends are doing phenomenon work in their areas, some is worried about air pollution, some have their hearts set for child and woman justice, one gutsy lady is fighting against domestic violence, some have used RTI to question authorities.

 

Amazing individual, each possess traits which personifies leadership.

 

I am grateful to Ram Bhau Mhalgi Prabodhini management for considering my profile. They enlightened and awakened me.
