At empirical level each scheme may or may not be successful in terms of percentage.
But when you sum up them all, they have touched a very vast number of humanity.
Demonetization may not be remembered in coming years but the gigantic data it has given to finance department has larger ramifications.
Once the scaffolding of corny capitalism is removed businesses started shaking up and took time to respond to market demands.
The huge backlog in infrastructure, in forms of approved yet unstated projects created real hiccups for ministers in transport, railways, urban development, rural development, telecommunication etc.
Government is no more writing instructions to public sector banks to give loans to businesses close to corridors of power.
Central government is doing things, framing policy giving support etc but real onus lies with state government, which in my view are not moving at rapid pace as central government.
Essential things which affects, common people like security, education, healthcare, water, sewage disposal, civil infrastructure, roads, traffic management, electricity etc are controlled by state government in our federal structure.
The pace of bjp ruled state government is not what it should be, the government s in bjp ruled States have to work in mission mode, land reforms they could do instead of central government.
