Tale of two modern cities:
Haplessness of urban settlement is visible when it get taste of nature's fury.
It is not that nature has unleashed it's full wrath , just a dose of it has brought 2 modern cities of India on its knees. Gurgaon and Bangalore.
On closer scrutiny one will discover that rains alone can not be the reason for it.
It's man-made crisis.
What an urban mess we have created in our city, take a walk around the drains, storm water drains, lakes and other water bodies.
One will be blind to not notice the choked state of them, the water bodies natural or man made are choked with plastic, debris, plantations and what not, in other words they are no more used for what they got developed or for what they were developed.
They have turned into landfills.
Worst is that at some places they just stopped arbitrary, as on them construction has come up.
